How To Make A Sex Doll?
As social attitudes continue to evolve, sex toys and sex dolls are becoming increasingly accepted by a wider audience. Multiple surveys show that the proportion of people who have used sex toys or hold an open attitude toward sex dolls is steadily rising.Compared to traditional adult products, sex dolls offer something closer to companionship and a realistic experience. At the same time, they are also relatively expensive.
This naturally leads some people to wonder:
Can a sex doll be made by yourself? How To Make A Sex Doll?
To answer these questions, we collaborated with the YouTube channel Miracle Process to document the complete creation of an Irontech Doll from start to finish.By presenting the real and full production process, you can clearly understand how a sex doll is made—and better judge whether making one yourself is truly feasible. The full video can be found at the end of this article.
How To Make A Sex Doll Head?
Most sex dolls on the market today use a separate head-and-body design. Only a small number of AIO (All In One) sex dolls adopt a fully integrated structure. In this article, we focus on the more common detachable design, starting with how to make a sex doll head.
Step 1
Mold Preparation
The head mold is thoroughly cleaned, and the foam core is fixed inside the mold.
Eye positions are carefully reserved to allow for later eye installation.
Once everything is secured, the mold is closed and fastened with bolts, ready for silicone pouring.
Step 2
Silicone Mixing And Casting
Based on the customer’s selected skin tone and material, platinum silicone is precisely color-matched and mixed.
After thorough mixing, the silicone is vacuum-degassed to remove air bubbles, then poured into the head mold.

Step 3
Curing And Demolding
The mold is left to sit for about one day until the silicone fully cures.
After demolding, the raw head shape is revealed.
Step 4
Trimming And Surface Refinement
Freshly demolded heads contain flashing, tiny air holes, and excess edges.
These imperfections are manually trimmed, repaired, and cleaned before the head is passed to the makeup stage.

Step 5
Makeup And Expression Creation
During makeup, the artist references photos provided by the customer, selects suitable eyes, and installs them into the reserved sockets.
Through detailed makeup and sealing, the head gains its unique expression and character.
Step 6
Hair implantation
The sample head shown is a soft silicone head, requiring each strand of hair, eyebrow, and eyelash to be implanted by hand.
Hair implantation alone takes approximately 25 hours.

Throughout the head production process, every step is essential.Among them, mold precision and makeup are the two most critical factors determining appearance.
The mold defines facial structure and proportions, while makeup brings expression and personality. Both stages rely heavily on experience and aesthetic judgment, requiring careful refinement.
In real production, not all soft heads receive full hair and eyebrow implantation.Even so, including scheduling and production, a single head typically requires 10–15 days to complete. This is why every finished head feels more like a carefully crafted artwork than a mass-produced item.
How To Make A Sex Doll Body?
While head production focuses more on aesthetics and expression, body production is significantly more complex.
It affects proportions, mobility, support, and overall user experience.
Let’s move on to how to make a sex doll body.
Step 1
Production Skeleton And Foam Layer
The internal skeleton is welded, and hand and foot joints are installed.
A foam layer is then built around the skeleton and secured with cotton wrapping.
Since silicone is about 1.3 times denser than TPE, a full-silicone body could exceed 50 kg in weight.
To reduce weight without sacrificing touch, most silicone dolls use a foam + silicone structure.
The cotton wrapping enhances bonding between the skeleton and foam, reducing the risk of delamination.
Step 2
Skeleton Positioning
After cleaning the body mold, the skeleton is fixed inside, with vaginal and anal cores reserved.
The skeleton must remain fully suspended inside the mold and cannot touch the mold walls.
If contact occurs, the final product may expose the skeleton, rendering the doll unusable.
Additionally, platinum silicone cannot be recycled.
Regarding Love Hole Placement (LHP): it is not decided by workers during assembly but by fixed positions designed into the mold.

Step 5
Trimming, Cleaning, And Component Installation
Surface imperfections and fixation holes are manually repaired.
Skeleton binding threads and internal cores are removed.
Male dolls receive torso bolts at this stage and are sent for cleaning.
Step 6
Body Painting And Detailing
After cleaning, the doll enters the most critical painting stage.
Artists layer details such as palm tones, blush, veins, muscle definition, overall skin tone, areolas, and intimate areas.
At least eight layers are required to achieve the intended effect.
If hand-painted nails are selected, they are painted during this stage; press-on nails are applied afterward.
This process takes approximately 3 hours.

At this point, the main body is complete.
A high-quality body is the result of combined skeleton design, material choice, mold accuracy, and body painting.
Each step directly affects stability, realism, and overall experience.
In actual production, the body alone typically requires around 15–18 days from scheduling to completion.
Final Preparation and Packaging
Once the customer confirms the appearance, the doll undergoes final quality checks, cleaning, and packaging.
